So many people ask me when I have finished a painting, What inspires me to paint a picture? This image came from a conversation with someone who lives about an hours drive from Christchurch. She was talking about travelling so far to work and back home again. What was it like to drive all that way every day? She answered she loves it! When she is driving she sees the southern alps and no two days are ever the same. The landscape helps her prepare for for the day ahead and when her day is over the view of the mountains helps her unwind before she gets home. |
