This is typical of Canterbury's landscape. Being able to take the time to stop and really observe this type of beauty is what I love the most about my work.  I am then faced with the challenge of trying to capture both what I see and what I feel.

The title: The Quiet Land, encapsulates how peaceful it was at that time. When I viewed this scene there was not a breath of wind and no sound of traffic, nothing but the absolute stillness before me.
