The Flow Between Two

The Flow Between Two

Some sculptures begin with a commission, a brief, a conversation. This one began with an idea I couldn't quite see — only feel.

There is an energy that exists between people. Not something you can point to or photograph, but something you know is there. The warmth between old friends. The pull between two people in a room. The invisible thread that connects us to the ones we love. I wanted to give that energy a form.

I work through it by drawing wildly — not planning, just following whatever comes. These days I take those sketches into ShapeLab on my VR headset, sculpting in three dimensions, turning the idea until something starts to feel true. Only then does the stone get touched.

The Flow Between Two is that invisible energy made visible — two forms intertwining, rising together, never quite merging but never quite separate either.

We all feel it. This is what it looks like to me.
